Production wraps on Prison Transition VR experience

U-Ma Studios is honored to complete production on a VR experience with Creative Acts to support the release process for those transitioning from the prison system back to society.

It was emotionally heavy to experience the caging of fellow human beings, which is not something that helps rehabilitate people. In fact, prisons have whole hierarchies within them, a bit like the rat race of our world.

Programs like Creative Acts can go far to help transform mindsets. The arts have a place in healing the soul and in developing one’s self-realization.

I hope more Americans consider what happens inside our prison walls when they vote…what we need is true reform. Putting people in cages does nothing to fundamentally change our social issues and create safety on our streets as it can lead to repeat returns when there is no genuine transformation.

It was meaningful to drive into a beautiful dawn on our way to Valley State Prison this December and we are pleased to wrap post-production and see off our project. Many thanks to Sabra Williams, Major Bunton, Rory Mitchell, and Andrew Gisch.
